Well, today, DH and I are celebrating our 6 yr. wedding anniversary. I woke up this morning to find this beautiful card that Jamie made for me. He was very brave to tackle that which is known as MY stamp stuff, but he did and he didn’t leave a mess (at least no more than I already had there). I was totally impressed with this card. He is a little color blind, so that makes this card even more impressive! And check out the bitty blossom that he placed over the stamped flower! How creative is that?!?! He said it took him about an hour to make the card and, “it was hard”, lol.

Hello. It has been awhile since I last updated. I have been a busy girl! I finally got some time to sit down and stamp some cards and thought I share them with you. The first is a card made using TAC’s Uptown Girl paper collection. It’s not one of my favorite collections, but I think it worked great for this card. I stamped the image in Palette Noir ink, heatset it, and then colored with my new COPIC markers. I know, I know, “But Leanne, you use Prismacolor!” Well, DH took me to Dick Blick when we were out of town and the had 1 set and I thought it was calling to me. I am still not sure what I think of them, but trust me, my prismas are there and still get used. Anway, there is a bunch of layering and I stickled the flowers on the floral layer.

The second card I created after lying awake the other night. I got this set of stamps from Gina K Designs and LOVE IT, but I had no idea what paper to use. Then I remembered the “All-Dressed Up” glitter stack that I got a few weeks ago. I know the papers are a bit loud with this image, but I LOVE IT! I think the combo works. I colored the image with copics (still practicing) and the only other accessory is a little ribbon. Enjoy!

My Gramma found out that she is DONE with chemo! The Dr. decided that it was too hard on her and that she will be fine without it! Thank God for that! So, I made her this card in celebration of her recovery from colon cancer. I used Gina K’s “Way to Go” stamp set. How cute is this?!?! I just got it in the mail today after adopting the poor little stamps off of a stamper on SCS. I knew they would be perfect. The Blue CS is from DCWV, the brown is SU! and the white is TAC’s premium white. I colored with my Prismacolor markers and used my swiss dots folder. I think she’ll adore it!

I am attending a baby shower this weekend and needed a card. The girl who is the mom is young (17) and in a rough situation (not married, parents are mentally handicapped, hangs with a rough crowd, etc.). Her parents attend our church and we as a church felt that it was appropriate to embrace this girl and her baby and try to get them in a better position. Our church does not believe in children out of wedlock, BUT we also believe in helping those in need, and this child and her child are in need. We decided to throw her a baby shower. I pray that she can see the love of our church and of Christ. SO, I created this card especially for her. I hope that she will feel the outpouring of love and support that we have for her. I do hope that she can realize that the paths she has chosen are not the best one’s and that she can make a change in her life for herself and her little baby.
The image stamps are from CTMH’s Flower Child and the saying is from TAC’s Hello Baby. The paper is SU!’s Purely Pomegranate, TAC’s Premium White, and Matchmakers Yellow 2. The images are colored with Prismacolor Markers (I swear they should pay me for endorsing them so much) and the ribbon is from Offray. Thanks for looking.

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.
